Our unusual approach integrates a systematic person-centered approach and evidence-based psychopharmacology. Our practice includes the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, adults and the elderly with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses and life related problems and transitions. Prairie Mental Health Services provides services to a large group of active-duty military personnel, their dependents and retired individuals.
Prairie Mental Health Services include initial psychiatric evaluations, prescriptive services and management, psychological testing, individual, couples and family therapy. We actively collaborate with members of our community, including physicians, clergy, school personnel and other mental health professionals to integrate essential services.
Each psychiatric provider would anticipate providing, integrating and individualizing pharmacology and psychotherapy to each patient and/or their families. Each new patient is provided 2 1/2 hours of psychiatric/psychological assessment and in-depth evaluation to appreciate and understand their unique values and individual circumstances and problems. Each patient is followed up for 45-60 appointments.
Who would not like to see fewer patients and establish a relationship with them. This is not a dream job; it is a career changing opportunity implementing evidence-based practices.
